WELCOME TO THE

WISCONSIN JR. HOCKEY LEAGUE

 The Wisconsin Junior Hockey League or WJHL is a new Independent Jr A. Hockey League starting for the 2008-2009 season. The goal of the league is to promote junior age players while also providing them the opportunities to showcase their abilities.

The WJHL is not limited to Wisconsin talent only the WJHL has a network of scouts worldwide. The WJHL is for all Junior age players who are looking to develop into that next desired level.

Saw Blades take it to the Saints

The Eau Claire Saw Blades travelled to Stevens Point to challenge the Mid Wisconsin Saints for a Halloween game. Tommy Farrah of Michigan had a great game where he scored 2 goals followed by 3 helpers to help his team win 7-5. The Saints tried to give the Saw Blades a loss but they couldn’t get through their penalty trouble. The Saints defense led by Zach Brown ( 1 goal ) a strong performance from Matt Newton in goal who faced 48 shots in the matchup.

Former Player Director Rex Holdren.

The Wisconsin Junior Hockey League has to announce the dismissal of the Player Director / Community Affairs director. Rex Holdren has been dismissed indefinitely. 

If you are contacted by Mr. Holdren in regards to league business, please contact the league office to handle any business you may have. The Wisconsin Junior Hockey League wishes Rex Holdren the best in his future endeavors.

The Rhinelander Dagger's Victorious over Saw Blades

Daggers win 7-5 over Saw Blades

The Daggers beat the Eau Claire Saw Blades in a great and close battle. The Daggers started Mike Rogers in goal and allowed the Saw Blades to send 51 shots at him. Rogers stopped 46 shots in the game to help the Daggers to an overall 7-5 team win. The Eau Claire Saw Blades did their best to put up a fight and put the scoring from the Daggers to a minimum. The Daggers leading point getter Josh Schneider had 2 goals and an assist in the win. Kylee Zalewski scored a hat trick and an assist in the loss. The Rhinelander Daggers would like to thank the Rhinelander fans for coming out and supporting them 2 nights in a row.

Stoughton Thunder Perfect after opening weekend!

Stoughton Thunder perfect after 2 games!

 

The Stoughton Thunder finished the weekend with 2 wins. The Thunder took on the Saw Blades in a heavy fashion. Stoughton beat Eau Claire 9-3 Friday night. The Thunder then went home to start the season at home. The Thunder fans were hopping at the Mandt Center Saturday night against the Mid Wisconsin Saints. The Thunder took a commanding lead when the Saints gave up two big goals due to their defensive mistakes early. Stoughton made them pay with 6 goals in the 1st period Saturday. The Saints fought through the grunge to refocus themselves to score 3 goals in the 2nd period to keep the game interesting. The Thunder beat the Saints 13-4.The Stoughton Fans were great. They were really great stated a Stoughton Thunder fan, and they were right!
 
The Stoughton Thunder and the WJHL would like to thank all of the fans for all of their support.
